Our Technical Services team provides OEM's with opportunities to further improve their costs by utilising Burloaks extensive engineering support services on an as needed basis rather than adding additional permanent costs within their organizations.
A key area where Burloak stands out is our ability to produce 3d models of complete facilities (refineries, mine sites, oil platforms) by using 3d large volume scanning technology to build full 3d photo realistic records of a facility with complete walkthrough and dimensional interrogation capabilities. This is particularly useful in the oil business where a significant portion of cost overruns on expansion projects stem from difficulties in marrying up new modules to existing areas. We can help minimize these costs by use of virtual assembly techniques where we simulate the "fit" of the new module in its "as built" condition with the actual "as built" state of the existing installation. This method allows any rework or adjustments to be conducted before the new module ships to the job site therby lowering costs to the EPC and their client.
