Reverse Engineering/Maintenance
Our Technical Services Team have a wide range of capability's that deliver excellent opportunities for operators to reduce costs of overhauls and to improve facility safety such as a proprietary process for repairing low speed hydro turbine blades after they are damaged in operation due to wear etc. The process can reduce outage time by over 50% and minimizes changes in the blade geometry due to excess welding used in other methods of repair. If incorporated into a planned maintenance program this process can even further reduce outage time by potentially allowing a repair to be completed without major disassembly.
