Our Technical Services team can provide an impressive array of services including large volume 3d scanning services used for a wide range of applications including tunnel measurement during contruction and expansion, accurately determining the volumme of materials removed or stored, creating site layouts with full photo realistic 3d walkthrough simulations for safety training and marketing data.
A key area where Burloak stands out is our ability to produce 3d models of complete facilities (mine sites, tunnels) by using 3d large volume scanning technology to build full 3d photo realistic records of a facility with complete walkthrough and dimensional interrogation capabilities. This is particularly useful in the mining business where a significant portion of cost overruns on expansion projects stem from difficulties in quickly capturing as built data for engineers to build their new designs around which quite often results in multiple site visits and extensive delays in projeccts. We can help minimize these costs by use of virtual walkthrough techniques where we simulate a visit to a site to as many engineers as required on a repetitive basis using an interactive 3d photorealistic model. Engineers can therefore focus on engineering and simply extract dimensions and information as required right at their desktops.
